LOCATION: Canonsburg, PA DEPARTMENT: Production STATUS: Non-Exempt ______________________________________________________________________________ POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Production Team Members are responsible for supporting manufacturing operations across one or more departments within the facility. This includes the construction, processing, assembly, finishing, and quality inspection of components and products in accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and production schedules. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment are essential. No experience necessary — learn while you get paid! Essential Functions Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, winding specifications, and work instructions. Operate manual and automated production equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and power tools, in accordance with safety guidelines. Move, stage, and handle materials and components using appropriate lifting equipment. Assemble, process, and finish components to required dimensions and quality standards. Apply insulation, coatings, epoxy, or other materials as specified. Inspect finished work for defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Measure and adjust components using precision measuring devices and testing equipment. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety procedures when handling electrical components, insulation materials, and hazardous substances. Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and equipment settings. Load and unload materials from forklifts, trucks, and pallets. Sort, count, and organize hardware, parts, and materials. Support other departments as directed by supervision. Keep work area safe, neat, and clean at all times. Tools and Equipment Various hand tools and power tools. Cranes and overhead lifting equipment. Forklifts and battery-powered lifting equipment. Hydraulic equipment. Pneumatic (air) tools. Ladders and scaffolding. Measuring devices and testing instruments. Torches and induction brazing equipment. Scissor lifts and manlifts. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to read a tape measure. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools. Basic math skills. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently for extended periods with minimal supervision. Classroom and On-the-job training provided. Physical Job Demands The physical demands of this job include, but are not limited to, standing for long periods, occasionally lifting up to 60 pounds, and the requirement to walk, sit, use hands, fingers, and arms, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must also be able to see in close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus. The role requires a moderate to heavy level of physical effort and may involve working at heights exceeding thirty feet. Safety Requirements Required PPE may vary by assignment and department but generally includes: Steel-toed boots. Safety glasses. Gloves (general and/or cut-resistant, as required). FR-rated clothing (as required). Harness (when working at heights). Welding helmet and face shield (as required). Additional PPE as directed by supervision. Working Conditions Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required based on production schedules. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment; appropriate PPE required at all times.
