Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the production team member (contract sorter) will be responsible for accurately sorting, grading, and stacking lumber in our mill. This position requires the operation of forklifts to move and organize lumber products. Successful candidates must be safety-oriented, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Essential Functions:

• Sort and grade lumber according to size, type, and quality standards.
• Operate forklifts to move lumber safely.
• Stack and band sorted wood for shipping or storage.
• Monitor equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily goals.
• General cleanup of plant including but not limited to trash, debris, etc.
• Perform duties as directed by the production supervisor.

Work Environment: Warehouse.
Tools: Forklift, Pump Truck, Pump Jack, Computer, Phone, Box Cutter.
