Job Title: Production Technology Technician Job Summary:   Manages the technology test tire area and repairs green cases. Assists in APU and assists all engineers in KBS as needed. Perform other duties as needed. Responsibilities: *  Conduct tire re-checks. Swap pallets from warehouse and take to inspection. * Check markings on TUG machines (use a uniformity test tire). Run uniformity test on the grade of the test tire. * Manage production technology test tire area. * Repair green cases in Curing. Take out green cases and test for defects (e.g., bulge, bladder cracking, tread cord explosion) before it goes into inspection. * Cut samples as needed (inspection). Run x-rays and sherography on the cut tire samples * Assist with different jobs in APU. Assist all engineers in KBS. Operate/drive forklift. * Occasionally working in difficult position and/or with physical demands such as continuously lifting/moving materials from 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting/moving materials greater than 50 pounds. * Work is performed with exposure to any number of elements which requires precautions such as safety glasses, protective clothing, respirators, face masks, ear protection, etc. The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individual(s) assigned to this position.   They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.  Individuals in this position may be assigned to other duties related or unrelated to this position.
