Title: Production Technician

Position Reports to: Sr Conversion Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Sr Conversion Manager, the Production Technician plays a crucial role within the production team. This position involves operating, maintaining, and providing operational support for key manufacturing equipment. Key responsibilities include operation of the production equipment all production and process development requirements as well as diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize production downtime. The technician will work closely with the production and process development teams to implement and document process improvements and contribute to the business needs through continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Operate, maintain, and support manufacturing processing equipment and other relevant systems.
  • Perform maintenance, cleaning, and preparation procedures to ensure optimal performance and adherence to scheduled cycle times.
  • Perform quality control analysis and create thorough documentation. Maintain, optimize and document the process and quality SOPs.
  • As scheduling permits, assist in other production needs becoming cross-trained on several manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement process enhancements and automation solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to address production challenges and opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Millwright, or an equivalent certification or qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and production documents.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety including the handling, utilization and disposal of chemicals.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing machine function issues in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, Teams, and Outlook.
