Description
Hynds is a leading New Zealand manufacturer of infrastructure products, and we're looking for a hands-on Production Technician to join our Pokeno site. This is an afternoon/evening shift role, 4:00pm to 12:00am. About the Role You'll be involved in the full manufacturing process – setting up moulds, placing reinforcement, casting and finishing precast concrete products, and ensuring everything leaves the floor to the highest standard. You'll read drawings, operate machinery including the Autocast console, and play a key part in keeping production running safely and on schedule. What You'll Be Doing Setting up and assembling formwork and moulds to specification Placing reinforcement cages, pouring and finishing concrete Operating production machinery and hand tools Maintaining quality standards and completing quality control checks Keeping your work area clean using 5S principles Participating in team meetings and continuous improvement What We're Looking For At least 1 year's experience in concrete, precast, carpentry, steel fixing, or production Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings Class 1 licence with F (OSH forklift) endorsement, or ability to obtain Gantry crane ticket (3800) an advantage Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player Why Hynds?
