DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Production Technician to work in our manufacturing department for radio communication antennas, accessories and related Electronic Devices situated at our Botany complex.
This position will suit a person who is good with hand tools, versatile, bright, has a mechanical aptitude, can work with minimal supervision, is eager to learn and has a positive work ethic. It is a permanent full-time position after a six-month qualifying period.

• Mechanical and electronics assembly work
• Hand soldering
• Assembly work involving cabling, connectorisation, soldering, gluing, RF Testing
• Assisting with documentation
• Time keeping
• Packaging finished products
• Reading and interpreting technical manufacturing drawings and instructions.
• Quality control, testing and reporting
• Metal work in a production environment
• Use of hand tools and hand power tools
• Occasionally with the use of repetition engineering machinery such as drills, presses, metal finishing and electropolishing
