This is where your work makes a difference.
At Baxter, we believe every person—regardless of who they are or where they are from—deserves a chance to live a healthy life. It was our founding belief in 1931 and continues to be our guiding principle. We are redefining healthcare delivery to make a greater impact today, tomorrow, and beyond.
Our Baxter colleagues are united by our Mission to Save and Sustain Lives. Together, our community is driven by a culture of courage, trust, and collaboration. Every individual is empowered to take ownership and make a meaningful impact. We strive for efficient and effective operations, and we hold each other accountable for delivering exceptional results.
Here, you will find more than just a job—you will find purpose and pride.
Our Compounding team in Thetford is currently recruiting for a Production Technician to join a new, purpose built department. This is an investment into innovative technology to semi-automate our compounding process of penicillin and chemo-therapy to increase productivity, reduce elements of the strenuous nature of manual compounding and allow for additional growth to enable us to serve more patients products.
You will assist with all day-to-day tasks of preparation, manufacturing and inspection of compounding medicine. The Production Technician will provide support for all aspects of cleanroom production, including aseptic compounding, equipment utilisation, inventory control, environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with the Manufacturing Licence and Quality System requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity and we are looking forward to building an enthusiastic high performing team to make this new purpose built department a great success and an exemplar EMEA Compounding.
When the unit goes live you will work Monday – Friday rotating shifts of 06:00-14:00 and 13:00-21:00. During the setting up of the unit and your training we do ask for flexibility with working hours. You will most likely be working 8-4 for the first couple of months but there will also be the expectation for you to work 2 weeks on the night shift to learn the cleaning element. Please do bare this in mind when making an application.
We offer a salary of £25,600 and a weekly shift allowance of £45.35 per week as well as some great benefits.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
As full training is provided, there is no set experience that we look for. We do however believe that someone who is attentive, has strong attention to detail and a positive attitude will be an excellent fit for this role. You might already be in a manufacturing environment and wish to try a new industry or could currently work in hospitality/customer service and want to try something completely new. We welcome applications from everyone!
Other things that we look out for are excellent communication skills. You might have this from working in hospitality, customer service or care.
