Responsibilities
  • Design and specify chemical process systems and control strategies for the handling, separation, and transformation of gases and fluids in line with Coregas operations.
  • Plan and oversee the installation, commissioning, and operation of chemical plant systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate all scheduled maintenance activities for the Mackay facility, including routine condition monitoring, shutdown planning and execution of planned maintenance.
  • Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of machines and fluid power systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Act as Systems Administrator for Coregas’ Maintenance Management System (MMS), ensuring all plant and equipment records, SOPs, and maintenance policies are current and complete.
  • Conduct risk assessments for all maintenance activities and ensure appropriate sign-off prior to assembling or installing new or modified equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate external contractors performing inspection and maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with Coregas and Australian standards.
  • Provide technical and project management support across site initiatives, including estimating material costs, quantities and equipment requirements.
  • Conduct inspections per SOPs to ensure all plant, tools and equipment are safe and compliant. Report and isolate any unsafe equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of practice in Quality Assurance and safety management, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Installation of equipment & systems in accordance with Australia and Coregas standards.
  • Sort cylinder, inspect for faults, process cylinders for filling.
  • Operate test station and test cylinders as required.
  • Operate manual handling equipment in accordance with SOP
