Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Production Technician, you will ensure the safe, effective and efficient operation of the site. This includes the milling process from raw material to finished product, and the running of the flour heat treatment plants.
You will work a 5-week rotating shift pattern of nights, afternoons, days and weekends. Flexibility is required to meet business needs.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Monitoring and making skilled adjustments to the production processes as required for (2 x Flour Mills and 2 x Flour Heat treatment plants). Carrying out food safety testing, quality checks and completing relevant documentation
· Carry out maintenance and shutdown activities
· To be proactive in suggesting and carrying out process improvements
· Raise/respond to non-conformances in the process
· Conform to all CCP (Critical Control Point) procedures
· Ensure all product is checked and meets set specifications prior to it leaving site
· Ensure the application of HACCP and other procedures (GMP’s) to maintain product integrity
· Co-operate and work with the teams to give an integrated approach to plant hygiene
· To complete equipment handovers documents for plant maintenance
