Job Details Job Location: Click Bond Watertown - Watertown, CT 06795 Position Type: Full Time Maintains operation readiness by upholding safety, quality and compliance standards. Demonstrates ownership of both strategic and tactical initiatives related to machine operations. Serves as a key liaison between production and technical support teams to ensure optimal equipment performance, product quality and workplace safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Proficient in basic operation of at least 3 of the Production Technician specialties. For example, Ransohoff cleaning, Rosler deburring, operating production presses, tapping machines, locker machines, laser cutter, groover, CNC, prime/paint or other secondary equipment in use. Maintains tooling and proactively monitors tool wear; oversees tool installation for secondary operation machinery when applicable, setups as required. Recommends preventative maintenance tooling equipment on secondary operation machinery as needed. Prepares and tests equipment for safety and productivity prior to production runs, when applicable. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to contribute ideas for continuous improvement. Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable part numbers, materials and processes. Monitors inventory and non-inventory material consumption to help prevent stockouts. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and work orders. Utilizes basic computer skills to fulfill work order requirements an verify count operations. Proficient at performing in-process inspections and dimensional inspections of key characteristics and other attributes using inspection devices such as micrometer, caliper, and optical measurement equipment. If required, conducts SPC, reaction plans and executes control plans as necessary. Awareness and understanding of ERP system, scrap, and NCR processes. Applies knowledge of general safety and organization (6S), Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD) requirements. Applies knowledge of Quality and Environment Management System (QEMS). Report immediately any machine or process challenges and all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a lead or manager. Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas. Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to gain and demonstrate the following competencies: Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to maintain uninterrupted focus on tasks for up to four hours. Demonstrates strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, visual aids, and work instructions; able to preform duties from memory, written instructions, or visual references. Skilled in the use of assembly and measuring tools, with the ability to perform statistical mathematics as needed. Excellent communicator – both written and verbal – with a reputation for being a good listener, objective translator and effective team builder. A lifelong learner with a consistent curiosity and drive to acquire new knowledge and apply modern best practices. Provides technical assistance to team members with their assignments as directed. A dependable team player who influences and works effectively across all levels of the organization. Must have a good command of the English language relative to the work responsibilities, both written and verbal. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum of High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.) required. Minimum 2 years production machine operator experience, or, demonstrated knowledge and skills in a manufacturing environment. Technical school preferred.
