QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recognized qualifications or demonstrated skills in CNC machine programming, setting, and operating.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Fanuc (ISO), Mazak (ISO), Mazatrol, Siemens Shop Mill, and Siemens (ISO).
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experience in the medical device industry with knowledge of GMP practices and validation.Familiarity with UG CAD/CAM and quality systems.

Responsibilities

The Production Technician will program, set, and operate CNC machines, supporting engineering processes for base business, custom, continuing care, and prototype products. You will be instrumental in developing CAM skills and improving manufacturing methodologies and assist in engineering activities such as document creation.
The role may also support the manufacturing processes for legacy MAKE and prototype products, including fitting, polishing, porocoating and laser marking etc.

You will be responsible for:

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC machines.
  • Assisting in engineering activities, including document creation and CAM programming.
  • Supporting the engineering processes for base business, custom, continuing care, and products.
  • Developing CAM skills using Siemens NX software and creating templates for post processors.
  • Innovating manufacturing methodologies to improve product lead times.
  • Performing total asset care routines, including minor maintenance tasks.
  • Managing your workload flexibly to meet tight deadlines within health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Operating computer systems and software packages such as Thinkworks Seiki Systems, NX, and JDE.
  • Championing 6s practices and maintaining effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Completing tasks for the support function of the Manufacturing Product & Packaging Operations unit, and following standard operating procedures ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
  • Assisting with operational equipment set-up and adjustments for packaging equipment, fitting, polishing, porocoating and laser marking equipment.
  • Helping support the inspection of materials rejected from equipment for defects prior to repackaging.
  • Recording activities and completes applicable batch documentation to ensure all products are accounted for.
  • Assisting with non-routine equipment repairs and coordinates with maintenance personnel.
