Position Description: Production Technician The Production Technician provides hands-on support to manufacturing operations by building, improving, and maintaining production workstations, tools, and processes. This role focuses on executing shop floor improvements, supporting daily production needs, and driving workplace organization through 5S and continuous improvement activities. Requirements Primary Duties: Build, assemble, and modify production workstations, fixtures, and tooling to support daily manufacturing operations. Provide hands-on support for line setups, reconfigurations, and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. Troubleshoot production issues and implement practical, efficient solutions to minimize downtime. Ensure all workstations and production areas are safe, organized, and ready for daily use. Execute workstation and layout changes to improve workflow, space utilization, and overall efficiency. Install and maintain visual controls, labeling, and standardized workstation components. Lead and sustain 5S activities, including audits, corrective actions, and maintaining clean, organized work areas. Support material flow improvements, staging, and line-side organization to keep production running smoothly. Assist operators, team leads, and supervisors with process improvements and day-to-day production needs. Maintain basic production documentation, support data tracking, and assist with ERP updates such as BOMs, routings, and inventory adjustments. Experience & Skills: Strong hands-on mechanical and assembly skills Ability to use basic tools and equipment Understanding of manufacturing workflows and shop floor operations Familiarity with 5S and Lean manufacturing principles preferred Strong problem-solving and practical thinking skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent credential required.
