PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Location: Jade Business Park, Murton
Position: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Starting at £26,520 (including shift allowance for unsociable hours worked)
4-Day Week! Monday - Thursday (08:00-18:00) with a 3-day weekend.
Boost your Earnings: Occasional overtime available at an enhanced rate.
Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays

Now we are growing and we’re looking for a number of passionate Production Technicians to join our fast-paced team.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience following SOPs and adhering to Health and Safety rules
  • Basic level of maths and english
  • Experience working with handtools
  • Experience working towards targets within a team
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • Good communication and team working skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Assertive and keen to improve processes and procedures
  • Diligent in performing tasks to ensure all compliance requirements are maintained

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong IT skills
  • Driving a forklift
  • Experience undertaking quality control checks
  • Experience working with construction materials
  • Experience completing verification/standard checks on QC equipment
  • Repairing basic mechanical and electrical faults within the production lines
  • Carry out basic fabrication/modifications to equipment and upgrades

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the production line
  • Follow operating procedures and adhere to H&S guidelines
  • Adhering to wearing full PPE at all times including respirators and face masks
  • Operate a forklift for a variety of tasks
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within the production area
  • Loading/unloading of material/equipment/deliveries
  • Trialling new mixes/products as part of scale-up
  • General maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Mixing and dispensing of chemicals
  • Working to targets within a team
  • Ensuring orders are completed on time with quality standards met
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Be expected to assist with building projects
  • Be involved with continuous improvement
  • Actively seek to improve on 5S standards
  • Work with your team to uncover root cause and action results
  • Assist in daily house keeping
