Job Summary: As a Production Technician at MacroSource, you will play a vital role in the efficient transfer of dry and liquid fertilizers. Your responsibilities will encompass using approved tools and methods, operating front end loaders, skid steers, bulk conveying equipment, and handling general maintenance/repair tasks through a system of inspections and preventative maintenance. Compensation for the Production Technician position is dependent on experience, reflecting our commitment to fair and competitive pay. Pay for this role: $19 to $22/hour plus benefits and paid time off PLUS the ability to add $1/hr within the first 3 months and $2 /hr after the first year upon completing requirements in the career pathway program. Key Responsibilities: Load trucks with dry fertilizer, utilizing approved tools and methods. Transfer liquid fertilizer, operating pumps, valves, piping, and automation systems. Perform general equipment maintenance using appropriate tools. Follow guidelines for ascending and descending ladders on barges, trucks, towers, and platforms. Maintain facility and grounds through proper housekeeping methods. Assist with in-house projects and mechanical repairs. Qualifications/Special Demands/Skills: High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical skills such as electrical/welding/troubleshooting/automation a plus. Following a preventative maintenance program through routine inspections Experience in a fertilizer terminal is a plus. Become cross-trained to be able to perform all functions at the terminal with a team of experienced individuals, while climbing the career pathway ladder. Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of company-supplied personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe or sturdy leather boots. Ability to work in confined spaces, deal with heights and around water while following respiratory and fall protection guidelines and lifting up to 50 pounds. This role requires English proficiency to ensure safe and effective communication in a safety-sensitive environment. Willingness to undergo a drug test and background check. Flexibility to work overtime (some nights and weekends) as required. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm.
