A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Production Technician at MKS Malaysia, you will partner with Production team, Quality Team, Engineering, Technical Operations, Service to provide technical support in the testing operation, perform troubleshooting, failure analysis and experiments in order to develop a resolution associated with components, parts, and products. In this role, you will report to the Production Manager You Will Make an Impact By: Responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing Requires soldering skills and possibly mechanical aptitude skills As required, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment Report to supervisor or production manager when major faulty and unsafe activities found. Follow strictly the established rules concerning Quality, Health, Safety and Security Maintaining 5S order and cleanliness at all times Be active in the continuous improvement initiatives Skills You Bring: Candidates must possess at Diploma in Mechatronics/Electronic Engineering or equivalent education level 2-5 years of related experience required Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems Ability to read complicated drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas and a variety of testing and measuring instruments Competences in manual soldering Good troubleshooting and analytical skills Good working attitude Hands-on experience with manufacturing product debug work Able to work on 12 hours rotating day/weekend and night shift. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Ability to lift/push/pull up to 30–50 lbs; maneuver totes and parts. Work in ESD-controlled clean room environment; use PPE as required. Able to work on 12 hours rotating day/weekend and night shift. Flexibility for shift coverage and occasional overtime to support production schedules. Ability to accurately differentiate color-coded components, markings, and visual indicators in accordance with operation standards.
