Description SUMMARY: The Production Technician is a core member of the operations team, producing goods through machine and tool operation, as well as maintaining the automated production equipment. This role is responsible for achieving targeted production rates, low downtime, and high quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate various automated production machines in a safe and responsible manner Monitor production machines and tools for wear and faults Use various hand tools and light electrical welding equipment to fabricate parts according to standard templates Execute preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance procedures to ensure excellent machine condition and consistent product quality Identify, diagnose and troubleshoot issues in products to ensure low waste Suggest technical and procedural enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy Process material transactions in the business system Track, document, and report production and maintenance data Assist with order fulfilment and shipping Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop Adhere to safety protocols and assist team with safety compliance Other duties as assigned Requirements EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: High School Diploma or equivalent required 2 year Vocational or Associate’s degree in a related mechanical or electrical field preferred Minimum of one year of experience with assembling, servicing, or troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge required Proficiency in reading and comprehending technical documents such as drawings, schematics, specifications, work orders and work instructions Ability to use basic test equipment such as multimeter, computer programs, etc. Experience with small scale/light spot/resistance welding preferred Experience with stick welding desirable Experience with 3D design software desirable Self-motivating and able to work independently Detail oriented and ability to work with varying product demand PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
