The Role
Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Production Technician to join the department on a permanent basis (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is available immediately, full time, working 36.25 hours per week with a salary of £29,226 which is on the ESMS Support Staff Salary Scales. The role is based across the Ravelston and the Queensferry Road sites.
The Production Technician will support the Production Manager in the efficient organisation and running of all production and technical aspects of school productions, as well as external events across the three schools, in the Tom Fleming Centre, Mar Hall and The Dean.
The successful candidate must have experience working in a technical role in an arts venue and up to date knowledge of technical production. Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to high professional standards and continuous professional development is key.
