POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Technician is responsible for safely handling customers cylinders in compliance with standard operating procedures. This position reports directly to the Area Lead and Plant Manager. Training is provided to ensure complete understanding of position and department responsibilities.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; ON THE JOB TRAINING PROVIDED!

Shift Monday-Friday, 6:30am -3:00pm

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent or commensurate experience.
• Strong level of attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to read and write and perform mathematical exercises.
• Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities.
• Must be able to roll or lift 75 lbs. cylinders.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to work extended shifts and/or weekends.
• Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

• Inspects and performs pre-fill testing on compressed gas cylinders and related equipment and materials.
• Loading & unloading of cylinders.
• Performs leak detection on cylinders.
• Labels and safely stores cylinders in appropriate storage areas and maintains proper inventory levels.
• Report any problems or issues with equipment or materials to supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Performs routine maintenance on cylinders, such as basic repair and painting.
