Quest Fabrication, an Alberta-based leader in custom truck-mounted bodies, decks, and fleet vehicle upfitting (including emergency vehicles), is expanding and looking to add a skilled Production Welder to our team.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Production Welder at Quest Fabrication, you will focus on the consistent, high-quality welding and fabrication of manufactured products for a variety of fleet and industrial vehicles. This role emphasizes production welding in a fast-paced shop environment, balancing efficiency with precision. The position involves both independent and team-based work, with some lifting of up to 50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven knowledge of steel and aluminum welding.
  • Strong understanding of FCAW, SMAW, and GMAW processes.
  • Previous production welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate equipment such as Brake & Shear considered an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Shop Foreman, the Production Welder will:

  • Perform repetitive, high-quality welds on steel and aluminum components.
  • Weld and assemble manufactured products to meet production schedules and customer specifications.
  • Focus on aluminum welding as a significant portion of daily work.
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a production-based environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and shop procedures at all times.
  • Participate in job rotation and training opportunities to broaden skills (if desired).
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned.
