We take for granted that water is always available when we turn on a faucet, but trust that many manufacturers, engineers, and contractors were involved to get that water to you as well as reclaim it. Since 1958, Robar Industries has been Canada’s largest manufacturer of pipe connection fittings.
Headquartered in Vancouver, BC and with additional manufacturing facilities in Montreal, QC and Strathroy, ON, our teams find it really rewarding to be a part of delivering such an important resource to our communities around the world!
We are expanding to two facilities at our Strathroy, ON operations and are looking to add to our team. We are looking for an eager and energetic Production Welder who will report to our Shop Foreman.
Are you motivated and would like to work as a welder in a metal fabricating department? Do you have at least 2-3 years of welding experience? Do you have industrial manufacturing experience? We need you!
As part of your tasks, you will: occasionally operate metal cutting machines and rolling machines, but primarily you will grind and weld 1/4”, 3/8” & 1/2” with a mix of about 80% mild carbon plate steel work and 20% stainless steel projects. You must be proficient in MIG and preference will be given to those experienced in TIG welding practices as well.
The welder will be responsible for not just welding but also the use of all necessary equipment within the fabrication department.
The successful candidate for this role may be required to work in other positions as production demands justify it. When production requirements warrant it, overtime will be made available on a volunteer basis. There is also potential to be added to the afternoon shift, once trained, with a shift premium.
