Description

Position: Production Welder (Heavy Parts)
Afternoon shift: 2pm-12am Mon to Thursday 10 hour shift (training on morning shift)
or Dayshift: 6am to 2:00pm Mon-Fri (please indicate what shift works best)
Permanent after 3 months of probation
Our client is a world class precision manufacturer of metal components and sub-assemblies that use metal cutting, forming, machining, welding, assembly and paint. We use state-of-the-art machining and fabrication techniques in a lean, self-directed work team manufacturing environment to produce high value-added, cost-effective products for our strategic partners.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Welding Certificate or Diploma
  • Valid CWB welding ticket is an asset
  • 5 + years of welding/fitting experience – Metal Core Wire and Hard Wire
  • TIG welding experience as an asset
  • Experience with forklift, jib/overhead cranes is an asset
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the position including regular lifting and carrying of 5-23 kgs.
  • Ability to work safe and independently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Written and oral communication in English.
