Job Summary: Performs welding using various welding methods and techniques (TIG, MIG, Flux, Stick, ARC, Gouging etc.)

 Setup of welding machine and job area
 Read and understand blueprints / drawings
 Use of hand tools – grinders, chipping hammer, drills and other
 tools as necessary
 Use of small machinery – saw, drill and other as necessary
 Fit and fabricate steel parts to company / customer specifications
 Reading and understanding blueprints/drawings.
 Minor machine maintenance
 Completing paperwork associated with position.
 Lifting 1lb – 70lbs and/or assisted lifting including operation of
 lifting devices, when called for.
 Participate in training.
 Work in a safe manner and report hazards as recognized during
 duties to supervisors
 Conduct pre-start up inspection.
 Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Working Conditions: Works in a plant/manufacturing environment. Temperatures vary with seasons, however in the summer months workers are exposed to high temperatures. Conditions can be noisy and dusty on occasion, however various P.P.E. is supplied, recommended and enforced throughout plant area. Works plant hours of 7am to 4:30pm, except when overtime is required (when production is high, depends on industry).

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
