Description This position is responsible for the efficient manufacturing of high-quality products in a team environment. Each person is expected to be knowledgeable in all phases of the manufacturing of our products, paying particular attention to quality. As opportunities present themselves, staff are involved with new product design and improvements in existing ones. Requirements Responsibilities: · Interpretation of drawing specifications and production orders; identify components. · Perform set-up functions for cutting, punching, and packaging. · Continuous quality control with an eye toward process improvement and an economical, resource-efficient mindset. · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment. · Team player who strives for individual success as well as that of the team and the company. · Accurate documentation of appropriate paperwork including timecards, production orders, etc. · Foster a positive work atmosphere by cooperating and communicating with co-workers, management and external partners. · Consistently meet or exceed expected production targets. · Successfully manufacture a limited number of product lines. Stages of Manufacture/Equipment Operation: · Saws · Punches and presses · Automatic strapping machines · Panel fabrication · Use of hand tools including screw guns, nail guns, and rivet guns · Packaging All other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: · High School diploma or equivalent is desirable. · Previous manufacturing experience is preferred. · Experience with the basic principles of inventory management is a plus. · Ability to read drawing specifications and accurately read a tape measure in both mm and inches. · Ability to produce accurate work in a timely manner. · Ability to follow written and verbal directions and perform manual work for long hours. · Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds repeatedly without assistance. Physical Requirements Ability to work in an office environment, but also the ability to drive to the 5 retail store locations. Work Environment Manufacturing environment, concrete floors, majority of shift on your feet.
