QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of high school education or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience considered an asset.
  • Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
  • Completed Food Handlers Certification or willing to complete certificate
  • Ability to speak, read, write and basic comprehension of English.
  • Good hand and manual dexterity skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 Kg.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Work on the production line in a variety of roles, including operating and cleaning equipment and production spaces.
  • Weighing ingredients, staging, and blending.
  • Ensure quality output that meets company standards.
  • Monitor product, package appearance and package integrity at pack-off station to ensure product is packaged according to company quality standards.
  • Participate in the receiving of incoming shipments.
  • Complete scheduled and assigned sanitation tasks.
  • Assist co-workers when necessary.
  • Maximize output of packaging machine by minimizing downtime and waste.
  • Ensure machine and floors are free from debris and product.
  • Identify machine issues and ensure they are resolved efficiently.
  • Adhere to Food Safety, Standard Operating Procedures, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety policies always.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.
