Description
Perform all tasks involved in the production of Archer Meat Snack’s products. This includes unloading jerky from racks and trucks, using machinery to aid in packaging products, and tending to machinery. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Must comply with regulations set forth by Archer Meat Snacks and USDA. May come in contact with chemicals that are for food safety, cleaning and sanitation. All employees must work together on 1st and 2nd shift combined to meet daily through put goal of 44,000 equivalent bags. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Packaging workers are exposed to constant loud noise due to machinery. Hearing Protection is available. * Must be able to read and interpret detailed packaging information. * Work for long periods of time in a room temperature of (60 degrees F- 80 degrees F) * Unloaders are responsible for unloading jerky from food carts and food trays and are exposed to temperatures up to 160 degrees F (ovens). * Packaging employees are responsible for verifying Best by lot number and product description matches the bags that are being packed and pack size. * Responsible for participating in employee training. * Reporting any issues to management. * Compliance with company policies and procedures for the Food Defense Program, Safety Programs, and GMPs. * Other tasks as assigned.
