QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline;
  • 5+ years of experience in the technology field, with a proven track record of delivering a diverse portfolio of business solutions;
  • 3+ years of proven success leading and mentoring technical teams, with experience managing both employees and contractors;
  • 2+ years working in a high-code development practice in a business environment;
  • Demonstrated experience with the full application lifecycle, including both custom application development projects and solutions built on low-code/no-code platforms;
  • A thorough understanding of IT governance, application lifecycle management (ALM), and the challenges of managing “shadow IT” and technical debt;
  • Superior project management experience and familiarity with Agile development methodologies;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences;
  • Direct experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), the M365 ecosystem or other Development Platforms;
  • Familiarity with modern cloud and AI technologies, particularly the Microsoft Azure stack (e.g., Azure AI Services, Azure DevOps), or other AI Development Practices; and
  • Proven ability to demonstrate learning agility by rapidly adapting to changing business environments, embracing feedback, and continuously evolving leadership approaches to drive team and organizational success.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a blended team of Application/AI Developers, Productivity Developers and Business Analysts, comprising of both staff and consultants;
  • Lead the team’s new three-tiered operating model, overseeing the work intake, triage, and execution for Core Productivity Services, Solutions Development, and Platform Governance;
  • Champion and enforce the new governance framework for the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform stack, including managing the Citizen Development enablement program;
  • Collaborate with business leaders and the Business Enablement team to identify and prioritize high-value opportunities where custom AI and/or automation can solve complex business problems;
  • Ensure seamless technical alignment and collaboration with adjacent ISU groups to deliver cohesive enterprise solutions;
  • Provide thought leadership on the appropriate application of technology, guiding stakeholders on when to use low-code platforms versus custom development to achieve the best outcomes;
  • Inspire your team to do their best work every day and rally them around a unified vision for building the future of digital solutions at Pembina;
