Overview:
Heights UK Ltd is a leading Industrial design/manufacturing company based in Halifax, West Yorkshire (HX2) predominately producing OEM equipment for the Graphic Arts industry. The company also supplies a diverse range of bespoke equipment to customers in various industries in the UK and Worldwide.
We are seeking a Production Operative to join our team primarily in the paintshop but may be required to assist in other departments as required. The successful candidate ideally has experience in this type of environment, is able to work independently and as part of a team to support build objectives and must be flexible / multi task as the role varies day to day,

The Role:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and sanding as necessary
  • Painting prepared sheet metal
  • Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard
  • Communicate with team members to ensure smooth workflow
  • Utilise various power and hand tools effectively to complete tasks
  • Perform manual tasks such as lifting, sorting and packing products
  • Maintain a clean work area to ensure safety
  • Comply with company standards regarding health and safety and other company guidelines/policies to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Hold a current driving license
  • Previous experience in a factory / paintshop environment
  • Mechanical fitting experience desired
  • Willingness to transfer and learn new skills as required for the role
  • Have good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity

Benefits:

  • 4 Day working week (36 hours Monday to Thursday)
  • Choice of shift either 06.00 – 15.30 or 07.00 – 16.30
  • Overtime available when required (Friday morning)
