REMOTE PROFEE CODERS – MULTIPLE SPECIALTIES

We are actively hiring Professional Fee Coders across several surgical and procedural specialties—including Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Brain, Spine, Cardiology, and OB/GYN —to support a high-performing enterprise coding team within a nationally recognized healthcare system.
These are full-time remote roles requiring strong coding experience, system proficiency, and a high level of accuracy. Coders must be able to work independently after initial onboarding and meet performance expectations within a collaborative team environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Title: Profee Coder (Multiple Specialties Available)
• Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
• Location: Fully Remote (Must work MST hours during training)
• Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay Rate: $26-28/hr
• Excluded States: CA, CT, HI, IL, NY, RI, VT, WA

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of Profee coding experience in one or more of the following specialties: Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Interventional Radiology.
• AAPC or AHIMA certification (AAPC preferred).
• Proficiency with Epic and EncoderPro (Optum).
• Must pass a coding assessment and drug screen (including marijuana).
• Ability to work during Mountain Standard Time hours.
  Note: These roles are not entry-level—applicants must demonstrate the ability to work independently and maintain high productivity standards post-training.

• Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for E/M services and surgical procedures in your specialty.
• Review clinical documentation and ensure compliance with NCCI and Medicare guidelines.
• Meet productivity goals
• Participate in ongoing performance reviews and team meetings.
• Collaborate with providers and coding supervisors as needed.
