Meridian Hauling is growing and are currently seeking another energetic, professional Class 3 (with air) roll off truck driver for Winnipeg and surrounding areas. The qualified candidate will
- Have a minimum of 10 years experience driving a standard, class 3 air brake vehicle
- Have a minimum of 3 years roll off experience
- Proficient with standard transmissions
- Speak, read, write English fluently
- Effectively communicate with dispatch and customers
- Have extensive knowledge of the city and understand the flow patterns of traffic to schedule a run or take detours when necessary
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, being mobile to get in and out of the truck, and to clean out bins after dumping - Be clean and well groomed
- Have extensive experience using hydraulics on heavy equipment
- Excellent spatial skills to position vehicle and bins effectively and drive accident free
- Productive, efficient, and conscientious
-Willing to learn new techniques and methods
- Be able to work long hours (7 - 10 hours) and on call weekends when needed (every sixth weekend)
- Be able to think on your feet, mentally alert, energetic, fit, safe work attitude, and adapt to all types of situations
- Being mechanically inclined and understand hydraulics is a definite asset.
- Wage will depend on attitude, cleanliness, respect, and work experience.
If you have mig welding, fabricating, or painting experience, that is a definite asset. Also any experience operating a crane or knuckleboom, skidsteer, or pulling pup trailers should be mentioned on your resume.
