Department/ Unit: Department of Finance Closing Date: Until the positions are filled The Department of Finance at CUHK Business School now invites applications for the position(s) of Professional Consultant(s)/ Senior Lecturer(s)/ Lecturer(s) in Finance. The appointee(s) will (a) teach courses in mainstream finance at undergraduate/postgraduate level; (b) serve as an academic advisor to students; (c) assist in curriculum development; and (d) serve on committee and perform administration duty as assigned. Applications from qualified scholars in all specialty areas of finance will be considered. Individuals with expertise in macro-finance, FinTech, entrepreneurial finance, AI in Finance, risk management, venture capital and private equity are especially encouraged to apply. For application(s) of Senior lecturer(s)/ Lecturer(s), applicant(s) should (i) have a higher degree, preferably with a doctoral degree and/or teaching experience; (ii) demonstrate ability for high quality teaching of undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses depending on the qualifications and experience; and (iii) strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship. Those who fulfill the requirements above and have relevant professional and industrial experience in the finance and related areas and have at least 10 years of work experience in top-tier finance companies or related organizations could apply for the position of Professional Consultant. Appointment(s) will initially be made on contract basis for two years commencing August 2023, renewable subject to demonstration of the requisite level of performance and mutual agreement.
