Our Geotechnical Engineering team is growing and searching for a licensed Geotechnical Engineer who will manage projects and play a key role assisting our Chief Geotechnical Engineer with the continued development of our staff and client base. This position will be based out of our new Columbia office, opening mid-to-late summer, 2026. Our engineers work on small- and large-scale projects in a variety of markets (including commercial, industrial, residential, institutional, urban redevelopment and waterfront). As a project engineer, you will work with internal and external clients to provide seamless client service and ensure your services are delivered on time, within budget, and correctly. Typical duties include, but may not be limited to: Preparing proposals, technical reports, specifications, and plans. Performing field inspections of geotechnical and foundation projects. Executing geotechnical project assignments including, engineering analysis, report preparation, field exploration and laboratory services. Assisting with designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction. Attending design meetings to provide clients with recommendations on project direction. Providing support during construction including overseeing the installation of deep foundations, soil remediation and/or stabilization, demolition, underpinning, sinkhole remediation, etc. Ensuring clients’ needs are anticipated and consistently fulfilled. Requirements BSCE required MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred PE or PG Registration (depending on prior experience). Minimum of seven years’ field experience in industry, environmental consulting, or a regulatory environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) Dedication to client satisfaction Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Current, valid driver’s license Ability to obtain PA Act 34, 114, and 151 Clearances, as required for PA school projects We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
