Professional Healthcare Recruiter Department: Human Resources Reports to: Human Resources Director  FLSA Status: Exempt Type of Position: Full-time Revised Date:                   10/27/2025   MISSION & VISION STATEMENT:   The Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation (KPHC) is established for the purposes of carrying out the vision and mission of the Santo Domingo Health Center (SDHC). The MISSION of KPHC is: “ENSURING HEALTH & WELLNESS THROUGH EXCELLENCE IN HEALTHCARE WITH RESPECT FOR CULTURE” and the VISION OF KPHC is:  “HEALTHY PEOPLE, HEALTHY COMMUNITY, and HEALTHY LIFESTYLE”.    POSITION PURPOSE:   To connect Kewa Pueblo Health Center (KPHC) with qualified healthcare professionals, administrative and medical. The Professional Healthcare recruiter will function as the intermediary between job seekers and KPHC, ensuring a seamless recruitment process.   The recruiter is responsible for networking with medical schools, colleges, technical institutions and residency programs to both market and recruit for KPHC.  This position is responsible for the creation and implementation of KPHC recruiting strategy ensuring identification and attraction of qualified professionals ensuring an efficient healthcare system.  In addition to recruitment, this position will represent KP-HC/HR Department in Career Fairs.  This position will also be responsible for the scheduling of pre-employment requirements and will hand off once cleared.   PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees of the Kewa Pueblo Health Center are expected to conform to the following:  * Uphold all principles of confidentiality and patient care to the fullest extent.  * Adhere to all professional and ethical behavior standards of the healthcare industry. * Interact in an honest, trustworthy, and dependable manner with patients, employees, and vendors.  * Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.  * Maintain a current insurable driver’s license.  * Comply with all Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation and Santo Domingo Health Center policies and procedures, as well.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide support to KPHC in finding qualified candidates for vacant job positions. * Review large number of resumes or curriculum vitae * Research for job fairs, job seminars and involve in cold calling, referral recruiting, etc. * Screen each resume carefully to shortlist the appropriate ones, based on the professional and personal credentials. * Manage interview on telephones or personal meeting to figure out the matched qualities, before processing it to the hiring manager or key interview panel. * Assist in arranging face-to-face interviews with higher leadership. * Assist leadership in recognizing the key skills and competencies of the candidate to make the final selection of the candidate. * Negotiate and decide the cost/salary of the employee in consultation with the higher leadership. * Work according to the rules, regulations and recruitment strategies of the organization. * Suggest new approaches towards developing recruitment policies. * Arrange several marketing initiatives in advertising job vacancies through job sites, company website, newspaper, job vacancy journals, etc. * Monitor the need for new employees for a particular post. * Be aware of the healthcare job market trends. * Analyze and review the effectiveness of the selected candidates and take corrective steps if goals are not met. * Assist as needed with onboarding the candidate and may include assistance in new employee orientation, hiring manager training, and peer interview training. * Will assist in youth fairs, participate in introducing the local community to the opportunities at KPHC and provide strategies to build a recruitment pipeline for the community as well as the surrounding communities. MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or the related field required, Masters preferred. * Certified Health Care Recruiter, preferred but not required  Experience:  * One to four years working in healthcare or human resources * At least two years working as a health care recruiter  Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications: * Excellent knowledge of human resource development and management * Knowledge of KPHC and Kewa Pueblo * Excellent organizational skills * Strong oral and written communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Ability to meet deadlines and targets * Ability to understand and analyze people * Well organized, detail oriented and confident personality PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:   * BILINGUAL SKILLS IN ENGLISH AND THE KERES NATIVE LANGUAGE. * Experience working with Native American communities.  * Experience working in a primary care/mental health integrated healthcare center.  WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the primary functions of this job. Normal office conditions exist, and the noise level in the work environment can vary from low to moderate. Travel during the daytime, as well as limited overnight travel may be required from time to time. This position may expose the incumbent to certain health risks that are inherent when working within a health center facility. The Public Health Nursing Department holds events outside throughout the year.  Cold weather, wind, dust, and/ or heat are common during these events.     PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, and reading. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.   MENTAL DEMANDS: There are several deadlines associated with this position. The employee must also multitask and interact with a wide variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues.
