BattleCM is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor / Project Manger to direct surveying and project management services for a wide range of infrastructure, energy, utility, and land development projects across the Southwest.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are actively seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our Phoenix office as a Project Manager . This individual will be responsible for managing the technical and operational aspects of survey projects from inception through completion, while ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of Arizona (Required).
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in land surveying, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey software such as Trimble Business Center or Leica Infinity.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams across complex surveying projects.
Strong communication and client management skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Arizona as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working on oil & gas, utility, transportation, or land development projects.
Familiarity with GIS tools and drone/UAV data integration.
B.S. in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Manage and oversee multiple land surveying projects, including boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, construction staking, and right-of-way surveys.
Prepare and review survey plats, legal descriptions, and mapping deliverables in accordance with Arizona state regulations.
Supervise field crews and office staff, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies.
Coordinate with engineers, developers, utility providers, and government agencies throughout project lifecycles.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal survey laws and standards.
Conduct QA/QC on survey work products and mentor junior staff in best practices.
Participate in business development and proposal preparation as needed.
