The post holder will provide overarching professional leadership for the ongoing mobilisation of the service, will work alongside NHS England in completing and updating the design and standard operating procedures of the service e.g., developing detailed service guidance for providers, co-leading the design/mobilisation/commissioning and professional leadership of the national aspects of the service including delivery of the clinical model as well as telephony, the case management system, peer support, public facing website, professionals facing website, national communications and staff induction and development. The post holder will work closely with the NHS England team working on the ongoing mobilization. They will work with programme senior responsible owners and other stakeholders to develop and deliver the programmes ambitions and ensure the programme is clinically focused, credible and effective. The national professional lead will work closely with the Chief Psychological Professions Officer at Newcastle Hospitals and will deputize for the CPPO.
The post holder will have an office base in Newcastle and will be expected to work in a hybrid way, given the national remit of the role. This post is subject to the rehabilitation of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Services (formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
