We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge. We are seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Professional Learning and Development Consultant to support both pre-adoption and post-adoption sales processes by providing academic and pedagogical support to customers and key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you will be part of an energised, friendly and impactful team. You will collaborate with regional commercial teams to deliver learning and assessment projects, offering training, consultancy, and expert guidance to enhance the use of our educational resources.

ABOUT YOU

You will bring a higher education degree in philology, journalism, or education with teaching credentials. Experience of delivering professional development in educational or publishing environments.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Proven C2 level in Spanish and/or English.
  • Strong research, presentation, and project management skills, with flexibility and the ability to handle pressure and support our customers accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Willingness to travel and awareness of commercial and pedagogical practices.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate education, ELF qualification, and DELTA certificate.

Responsibilities

As a Professional Learning and Development Consultant you will:

  • Deliver academic and pedagogical training to key accounts, public institutions, and internal teams, focusing on improving the use and understanding of Cambridge learning materials and resources.
  • Support sales processes with insights, product knowledge, and customer-focused solutions.
  • Design and deliver in-person and online training sessions to enhance product understanding.
  • Develop bespoke learning programmes and innovative pedagogical strategies to meet customer needs, including ideation, design, creation, and delivery of these programmes.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency in learning and development approaches.
  • Conduct research, provide competitor analysis, participate in internal and external academic forums, and contribute to reports, proposals, and working documents.
  • Support sales and marketing staff by providing training and briefings on Cambridge learning products.
