Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Professional Learning and Development Officer to join the College’s Quality, Learning & Teaching Team and play a central role in delivering high-quality staff development across the College.
Salary Details: BS22-25 BAR BS26-BS29
Currently £28,308 - £30,652 BAR £31,650 to £35,166 per annum
Contract Type: Salaried (Full-time) - Permanent
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week over 5 days
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per year (increasing to 32 days for 5 years+ service) plus 8 Bank Holidays & College closure days per annum

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a relevant qualification at minimum Level 3 such as ILM. If you do not currently an ILM qualification, you will be required to undertake and achieve this during employment.
  • Hold a relevant Level 4 qualification. If not currently held, you will be required to undertake and achieve this during employment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in planning, recording, and evaluating training or CPD activities
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage budgets and comply with procurement processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working with digital systems and data for reporting purposes
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality and continuous improvement
    Working closely with the Professional Learning and Quality Manager, you will assist the design, implementation and evaluation of the College’s Aspire Continual Professional Development (CPD) operational plan. You will play a pivotal role in developing systems that support the planning, coordination, recording, and reporting of all CPD and coaching activities. Your work will directly support our mission to ensure continual improvement and excellence in teaching, learning, and staff development.
    You will be a highly organised and proactive individual with strong communication and project management skills. You should have experience in coordinating staff development or training activities, ideally within an education setting. A collaborative approach and the ability to work across teams is essential, along with a commitment to promoting inclusive, high-quality CPD opportunities.
