KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Registered Nurse. Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures and protocols. Must be competent with the Hospitals Policies and Regulations. Ability to lead and supervise staff in theatre. Must have experience in handling drugs and scheduling is a legal requirement. Equipment maintenance and motivations. Ability to teach staff in the unit. To ensure that Theatre is always running at the highest standards Comply with SANC and stakeholder legislation. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse with valid APC. Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues is essential. Preferably have two or more years of experience as a Scrub Sister. Preferably be trained or qualified. Must be prepared to work additional hours. Must have excellent telephone skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision. Must be computer literate MS Word & Excel.
