Description:

The Professional Services Engineer (PSE) position at Forescout offers the opportunity to design and deploy Forescout product solutions in real-world customer environments. The Professional Services Engineer will deploy, configure, optimize and troubleshoot Forescout eyeSight solutions as well as provide on the job training to customers onsite or remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and off-site Forescout professional services to customers including, product deployment, configuration, health checks, optimization, training and troubleshooting.
  • Assist Sales with implementation capacity and network designs.
  • Coordinate pre-installation calls and provide written post-deployment summaries.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, intellectual property, and training material.
  • Collaborate with customer support, product management, R&D, marketing and sales regarding deployment techniques, feature requests, product issues and sentiment.
  • Identify and recommend new customer service opportunities to Sales and/or customer.
  • Stay abreast of product capabilities, configurations and integrations via training and lab work.

Required skills include:

  • Hands-on, technical experience and expertise with routing, switching, 802.1Q VLAN, VPN, LAN, WAN, RADIUS and network security technologies.
  • Hands-on, technical experience with network administrator and network security activities.
  • Hands-on experience with Forescout eyeSight solution (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of industry security standards, procedures and technologies.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications, including presentation skills for audiences of varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Ability to constructively handle and address customer concerns through explanation or management escalation.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (must have a passport).
  • Experience in federal government environments (preferred).
  • A self-motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to work independently in a mix of workplace environments including large enterprise, commercial, and military / government agency customers.

Required experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of technical professional services experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience installing, managing and supporting production network and computer security systems comprised of multiple technologies.
  • Security certification such as CISSP, SSCP or GIAC (preferred).
  • Experience / certifications in multiple leading IT security, network, and IoT technologies (preferred).
