UPMC NORTHWEST Hospital Seneca, PA Status: Full Time 36 hours/week Shifts: rotating day/night, typically 3-12’s, every other holiday, every other weekend Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered care using critical thinking, strong clinical judgment, and thorough documentation to ensure safety, quality, and seamless transitions of care. Build positive, collaborative relationships with patients, families, and colleagues while maintaining accountability, professionalism, and clear communication. Provide effective patient and family education, support new staff and students, and contribute to a learning-focused, feedback-driven environment. Engage in ongoing professional development, support unit goals, participate in shared governance, and adapt to change with a team-first mindset. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, using evidence-based practice, and helping elevate the overall patient experience. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to build positive, professional relationships with patients, families, and all levels of staff. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Physical ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning. Licensure & Certifications: Current RN license or Temporary Practice Permit (state or compact, as applicable). BLS/CPR required within 30 days of hire. ACLS required within 1 year; NIH Stroke Scale within 6 months. Act 34 and OAPSA clearances required. National certification preferred.
