As part of this finance internship, the intern is expected to provide administrative and clerical support to the finance department, with a primary focus on managing the high volume of documentation required for a dual audit. The position involves assisting the Finance Manager with audit preparation, including compiling audit schedules and reconciling the general ledger for the 2024 and 2025 periods. It also supports system migration activities by helping clean and organize historical financial data to ensure accurate opening balances for Sage 300 implementation. Additionally, the role contributes to financial reporting by assisting in the preparation of balance sheets and income statements in line with IFRS standards and supports tax compliance efforts by reviewing past tax filings to ensure they align with current Zambian tax regulations prior to migration. Placed under the direct supervision of the Accounting Clerk, this role is embedded within a clearly defined hierarchical structure and aims to familiarize the intern with professional practices in the financial sector. The position is based in Lubumbashi, with potential mobility to the operational site in Kasenga, reflecting a degree of required flexibility.
