Job Details Job Location: OSC Utah - Salt Lake City, UT 84111 The Professor for Didactic Nursing Education facilitates distance education instruction by incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and other industry trends reflecting advancements in the discipline by promoting an interdisciplinary approach to advanced practice nursing education and healthcare delivery within and outside the College. The incumbent will be accountable for the delivery of the nursing curriculum in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and purposes of the Program. The Professor will engage with learners in all aspects of the nursing education process including evaluating the potential for achievement in the program and is accountable for Nursing Education Services successful attainment of key performance indicators, program and functional outcomes, and the success of the College’s mission. The Professor will show evidence of participation in academic or professional association related to domain and will assist in the selection and development of faculty. This role may be responsible for the development and modification of the curriculum in coordination with committees. The Professor will show evidence of qualified contribution in the field of expertise or respective domain on a committee or in a public capacity, publication, or presentation that is internal or external to the organization. The Professor will assist in the selection and development of faculty. Monitors, engages, and maintains open communication with learners in all aspects of the nursing education process including attendance, performance, comprehension, and evaluation in accordance with course outcomes, and submits required reports according to published deadlines Attends nursing faculty meetings, participates in committees, engages in shared decision-making, and other faculty activities as required May be assigned to various modalities including experiential, didactic, evaluations, and NCLEX coaching based on the needs of the College Participates in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise Qualifications A minimum of five years of experience in higher education, preferably online education Earned Terminal Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from state of residence and ability to obtain RN and NP licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College, including a valid multi-state license Either has an earned Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or commits to obtaining this certification within a one-year period Maintains current knowledge in multiple areas of nursing practice Additional Contributions: Completes annual professional development, membership in academic/professional associations, Service as SME, Service on committees, contributes to professional publications and presentations, participates in process management, involved in faculty supervision (5-8) and serves as a peer mentor (1-4). Maintain a learner load congruent with current faculty matrix for the assigned course(s).
