The UTS Faculty of Health is a broad and multi-disciplinary faculty that addresses health from conception to end of life.
A long-standing partner of health professions, the faculty is highly engaged with the health sector, industry, practitioners, and the worldwide research community.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Professor in Nursing to join the School of Nursing and Midwifery, where you will contribute to teaching, research, and engagement. In this role, you will design, coordinate, teach and assess across a variety of clinical and theoretical nursing subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while engaging with industry partners and consumers in subject design. You will produce high-quality research outcomes, including securing internal and external funding, publishing in leading journals, and managing small research projects. The role also involves supervising Honours, Masters and Doctoral students and building strong connections with industry and the wider academic community. About You As a Professor, you will bring strong interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues, students and industry partners. With experience in high-quality course development, design and delivery, you will also have the capability to mentor early and mid-career researchers, supporting their academic and professional success. Other requirements include:

  • PhD in nursing (or close to completion)
  • APHRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong research record with evidence of quality publications and attracting external competitive research grants.

What We Offer Base Salary Range: $228,179 (Level E), plus 17% superannuation (pension) The position is full-time and will be made on a continuing basis.
