The Office of Acadian Affairs and Francophonie, a division of the Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage, serves as a central support agency for the Nova Scotia government, providing tools and resources for the delivery of services in French by public institutions.
The Office oversees the implementation of the French-language Services Act and helps to ensure that the Acadian and francophone community’s needs are met by building relationships between government and the community. The Office also focuses on building awareness of the Acadian and francophone community and culture in Nova Scotia, through public education and engagement
