Description
SAIC is seeking a Program Analyst Principal with Engineering background to assist NSWC Crane and the Joint Hypersonic Transition Office (JHTO) Systems Engineering Field Activity (SEFA) with hypersonic workforce development planning and initiatives. NOTE: Position will accommodate hybrid schedule with some telework. Travel is anticipated at ~10%25 (possible sites: Texas A&M, Purdue, University of Virginia) JOB DESCRIPTION: The Candidate will assist the NSWC Crane Workforce Development (WFD) Lead with growing industry partnerships and participating in university and industry technical working groups to include University Consortium for Applied Hypersonics (UCAH) WFD meetings. This position will require heavy interface with program office, and university and industry partners at the National level Responsibilities include: Planning internship and educational opportunities Conducting Hypersonic Workforce research and analysis Support for networking and business development to mobilize all sectors (defense, academia, industry) and grow hypersonic workforce capability Gather, analyze, and report workforce-related metrics to identify Hypersonic Workforce Present and Future needs Develop and interpret information to assist management with policy formation and decision making Prepare technical white papers and technical studies REQUIRED SKILLS: Demonstrated ability to work cross-organization coordination efforts and engage directly with senior DOD personnel, and university and industry executives Strong background in research and data analysis REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE: Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years relevant experience; Masters degree and eight years of experience Experience should be in systems engineering, program management, or portfolio management with an emphasis on technical oversight Familiarization with veteran, federal, state and local workforce development programs Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process Must be a US Citizen DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Degree in an engineering or technical field Experience with systems engineering and/or hypersonics Preferred background working within the DOD
