Description
SAIC is looking for a Project Analyst to support NAVSEA Technology Office (SEA 05T) Fleet Energy Research & Development Program (FERDP) located at the Washington Navy Yard. The mission of the FERDP is to enhance lethality, resilience, reach and sustainment of warfare systems through more effective generation, use and distribution of energy on existing and future surface fleet assets by developing and transitioning Shipboard energy and maintenance improvements. Duties will include: Assist the PM in developing shipboard operational energy short - and long-term strategies consistent with SECNAV / OPNAV guidance. Assist in processes and procedures for new project identification, evaluation, and prioritization. Prepare POM inputs and program execution plans for PM as directed. Develop, maintain, and operate optimized initiative portfolio management tools to assist the Energy office in standardized tracking, management, and reporting. Assist the PM in oversight and monitoring of progress for funded energy initiatives and update project and program performance/status reports as required. Prepare briefing materials and correspondence as required to support project/program management activities. Coordinate and provide programmatic assessment and business case analysis of projects/programs/hardware as it relates to their respective development and implementation. Provide Strategic Communications support of energy programs, initiatives, and policies. Draft documents and provide program management support for NAVSEA’s International Data Exchange Agreements/Information Exchange Agreements (DEA/IEA) related to Operational Energy. Provide direct oversight and act as lead contractor support representative for all contractor personnel supporting FERDP Managing teams with responsibilities over the cost, schedule, and performance of complex, multi-million-dollar programs. Work collaboratively with the 05T BFM in tracking financial execution, task fulfillment, and overall financial performance. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree is preferred with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience. REQUIRED SKILLS: 10-15 years of related experience Interim Secret clearance required to start Seated within NAVSEA HQ (~3 days a week); Surface Warfare and NAVSEA Experience a plus
