The Position: We are recruiting a full time Program Assistant to work at our Senior Citizens Center in Metter, GA. Program Assistants work with County Coordinators to manage all aspects of county service center operations including Senior Center programs and more. They assess clients as assigned to determine needed service(s) to satisfy immediate needs as well as goals for the future and provide or arrange for an array of services designed to help increase self-sufficiency. Program Assistants also collaborate with other service providers and local businesses to ensure the maximum number of resources for each client. High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience required. At a minimum, high school diploma or GED is required. Experience is preferred. Responsible for performing various secretarial duties and program assistance for all Educational Talent Search (ETS) staff on a day to day programmatic basis. Must have good organizational skills and working knowledge of various computer programs. Must be able to work with minimum supervision and must exhibit excellent written and oral communications skills. Specific Responsibilities: Work closely with the ETS Director and program staff on a daily basis. Responsible for student data entry task with Blumen software and all other computer-based activities related to the Educational Talent Search Program and project participants. Must maintain confidentiality of all student information and records. Responsible for updating the project’s equipment and inventory list for accuracy and ordering of all program supplies. Prepare, revise, and make copies of all forms and other printed materials used by ETS Counselors and students. Assist in setting up new student files and orientation sessions. Also, assist with all workshops such as financial aid and PSAT/SAT workshops. Organize and maintain all other pertinent office files and records. Coordinate all college camps visitations along with the ETS Program Counselors. Conduct the Annual ETS Follow-up process on all senior graduates who have enrolled into postsecondary education. Assist in gathering data information used in the submission of ETS Grant Proposal, and the ETS Annual Performance Reports. Perform all other routine duties such as typing, filing, scheduling of events, and recording of minutes at all ETS Staff meetings. These duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive and the employee will perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Director or other Program Staff. Meetings, extended time, seminars, workshops, training sessions and travel may be required occasionally for this position. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one-year experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
