POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Foreman, Arenas & Field Operations, and working with Operators – Arenas & Field. The Arenas & Field Attendant performs maintenance/custodial and public relations duties within the Dow Centennial Centre, Jubilee Recreation Centre, Sportsplex Arena and Taurus Field. The Arenas & Field Attendant will ensure that the facilities are readily available in an attractive, clean, safe, and presentable condition for public use.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have the ability to read text of medium difficulty requiring an understanding of basic concepts and may be expected to write text intended to communicate non-technical information and display command of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic composition. A Class 5 Alberta Drivers License and an Intermediate First Aid certification is required. Working knowledge and experience of the safe usage of hand operated tools and snow removal equipment is essential. The incumbent will possess a basic understanding of cleanliness standards and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software platforms. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, a positive work attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement. A current Driver’s Abstract will be required at the time of interview.
Hours of Work: Minimum of 15 hours per week.
Weekday morning, evening and weekend shifts
