Program Assistant – Child Care Resource & Referral (CCRR) Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services Part-Time | Union Position
Are you passionate about supporting families and child care providers in your community? Do you bring creativity, organization, and a heart for connection to your work? We’re looking for two Program Assistants to join our CCRR team—someone who thrives on collaboration, values inclusion, and believes in the importance of quality child care for every family.
In this role, you’ll provide meaningful support to local child care providers and families, facilitate playgroups, coordinate training events, and promote the CCRR program throughout the community. Whether you’re helping a parent navigate their child care options, creating engaging social media content, or planning a caregiver appreciation event, your work will help build stronger, more connected communities.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
  • Annual driver’s abstract
  • Union membership (CUPE)
Responsibilities
  • Support and engage care providers through outreach, resources, and regular communication
  • Provide guidance and referrals to parents and families seeking quality childcare
  • Coordinate and help deliver training sessions, workshops, and community events
  • Facilitate playgroups that offer safe and enriching experiences for children and families
  • Create compelling newsletters and social media content that inform and inspire
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure high-quality services and community outreach
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and data to support program effectiveness
