Description The Program Assistant will support various members of the BBBSLI Program Team, including the Match Engagement Specialist, Rise UP Career Specialist, Program Managers, and other staff. This position is ideal for a young person interested in gaining real-world work experience, building workplace readiness skills, and contributing to a mission-driven organization dedicated to empowering youth. Requirements The Program Assistant will provide administrative and program support, including but not limited to: Greet visitors, volunteers, and community members in a professional and welcoming manner. Answer phones, take messages, and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members. Assist with copying, printing, scanning, filing, and organizing documents. Sort, distribute, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail. Maintain organized office files, supplies, and program materials. Conduct basic online research and gather community resources for program staff. Assist with preparing materials for workshops, meetings, mentoring activities, and special events. Support event setup, registration, organization, and cleanup for youth and volunteer activities. Help maintain and organize the activity center, storage areas, and program supply inventory. Assemble participant packets, promotional materials, and event resources. Assist staff with data entry and other administrative tasks as assigned. Provide support to the Match Engagement Specialist and Rise UP Career Specialist during youth engagement activities and workforce development events. Participate in workplace readiness coaching and professional development opportunities provided by BBBSLI. Perform other duties as assigned to support the Program Team. Qualifications Current BBBSLI Little. Friendly, outgoing, dependable, and willing to learn. Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally with staff, volunteers, and visitors. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently. Comfortable working in a team environment. Basic computer and typing skills are helpful but not required. Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing BBBSLI.
Responsibilities
