PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Experience in Career Services, Alumni engagement and other relevant student success departments.Strong research and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate a large amount of information from various sources into actionable information for decision making.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to track multiple timelines and deadlines on various projects.
  • Extensive understanding of first-generation, student needs either through lived experience or research on the unique educational needs of first-generation and low-income students.
  • Desire to continuously improve processes and procedures towards more effectively delivering support to students we serve.
  • Flexible and open to change while holding self and others accountable for high- quality performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 or more years of full-time related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous experience in career services (public or private) and/or a 4 year college or university a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Support López Scholar career development initiatives in partnership with HGLF university partners and third party organizations to ensure Scholars are placed on a path to high-quality jobs after graduation.
  • Manage and track Lopez Scholars career and alumni related data to inform continuous improvement of services and partnerships.
  • Support the development and implementation of the López Scholar alumni network, including alumni engagement for existing and future graduates.
  • Strengthen HGLF university partnerships by analyzing data, conducting research, supporting administrative functions, attending university events, and managing scholar support initiatives.
  • Strengthen López Scholars by implementing academic, leadership, and student success initiatives that enhance outcomes for all López Scholars
